Police Aggressive About Mobile Phone Use Whilst Driving
A leading police officer has urged that motorists caught using a mobile phone twice at the wheel should receive a driving ban.
Miss Davenport who speaks on road policing said, My view is that if someone is caught twice using a mobile phone within a period of time we should be considering things like disqualifications for short periods of time. I believe if we don’t do something fundamentally different we are going to have lost this,”
Although this would not be a winner of votes, the government is being urged to review this, to ensure that road safety increases and the use of mobile phones whilst driving decreases.
Using mobile phones whilst driving is a significant risk, in a previous article we did here at Carcaptain we touched on how texting whilst driving is the same or worse than drink driving!
